Welcome Home, Tricia - and welcome back to planDisney! It is always a good time to be thinking about how to get the most magic from your
Disney Vacation Club Membership, and I'll be happy to clarify some details about what your son can expect when he visits
Walt Disney World Resort next month. Let's get to it!
One of the things that really attracted us to joining DVC many years ago was the ability to guarantee that our family would have years of Disney vacations to look forward to. Although our girls were quite young at the time, I definitely was thinking about future trips when they could visit on their own with friends. In fact, my oldest is turning 21 next year and she's already deep into the planning phases for a quick girlfriend getaway!
Unfortunately, unless your son is listed on your Membership as an Owner, he will not be able to access
Top of the World Lounge - A Villians Lair, or the other Member Lounges. A Member must be present with an ID to use any benefits including dining and merchandise discounts. I am sure he'll be able to find plenty to do, regardless! Some of my favorite spots to unwind with a drink are
Enchanted Rose at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the
Sanaa Lounge at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village (as a bonus, you can order the iconic bread service at the lounge here!).
I hope your son and his pals have a fantastic time exploring The Most Magical Place on Earth on their visit, Tricia! Thanks so much for coming to see us again at planDisney, and please don't hesitate to reach out anytime if we can help with other questions.
Stay Magical!
Susan
