My son, age 5, loves Star Wars. What is there to do for him that includes Star Wars? Any character dinings, shows, etc.?

    Hi Amy Jo,

Currently, there isn't any Star Wars character dining available. However, your little Padawan absolutely must attend the Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios! Important: This is a very popular experience and is filled on a first come, first served basis. I wouldn't promise it to him ahead of time and would instead save it as a surprise. You'll want to get to the Park about 30 minutes prior to opening so that you can be one of the first people through the gates. At that time, immediately head over to Star Tours and ask the first Cast Member you see where to sign up for the Jedi Training Academy. Once it's full, they don't take any more Padawans that day.

Speaking of Star Tours, be sure to ride it several times. You never know where the Force might take you. Many different Star Tours adventures await you—including multiple storylines and locations. Riding once is not enough!

He'll also love making his own lightsaber! When at Downtown Disney's Marketplace, stop by the "Once Upon a Toy" store. There you will find the "Build Your Own Lightsaber" kiosk. My sons really enjoyed this and still have their custom Star Wars lightsabers from 4 years ago. There are 9 steps in which he will choose every part of his lightsaber, including the color of the blade, rings, ignition switches and more. The lightsabers feature authentic Star Wars sound effects. Your son will choose whether or not he is joining the Dark Side when he opts for a Jedi or Sith lightsaber. It's a lot of fun! In the end, he will also get a store exclusive Jedi or Sith pin to go along with his lightsaber. The current price is $19.95.

I hope your little Star Wars fan has a wonderful time,
