Hello Debra! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
As a high school dramatic arts teacher, I'm sure your son and I would have a lot in common. When I participated in a few of the
Disney Tours, my focus was the technical elements that make Walt Disney World Resort so magical.
There are 2 tours that provide the opportunity to not only get a view of these inner workings but are hosted by Cast Members with extensive knowledge on a lot of the lights, sound and special effects that drive attractions and entertainment at Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks.
Backstage Magic is a tour that allows guests to go behind the scenes for an up-close look into the artistry, technology, mechanical marvels and backstage secrets that Disney Imagineers and Cast Members apply to create the magical worlds we know and love. Backstage Magic is currently offered once a day from Monday to Friday.
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour focuses on the inner workings of
Magic Kingdom and its history. Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour is offered 7 days a week, multiple times a day.
I recommend that your son prepare questions in advance as he will get much more out of the experience if he is willing to ask questions directly during the tours.
To book either the Backstage Magic or Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour, you may contact a Cast Member at (407)939-8687.
Have a Magical Tour!
