For our son that is under the age of 2, he can eat off our plates at buffets on the dining plan I'm assuming; but what about when we have a table service/quick service meal? Do we need to pay out of pocket for his meal, or does he get a meal for free?

    Hi, Jenna!

Taking your kids to Walt Disney World before they are 3 years old is magical for them - and even more magical for the parents since these cute little Mouseketeers do not need a theme park ticket!

Before kids are 3, they are welcome to share their parents' meals. If at a table service or quick service location you wish for your son to have his own meal, you would need to pay out of pocket for that meal. I always liked getting my kids their own food so I could order what I liked, not just what I thought they would eat off my plate. Most kids meals are around $7-$10 and will include sides and a beverage so they are pretty reasonably priced.

Once kids reach age 3, they will need a child theme park ticket and will be charged at buffet dining locations. They remain under the child pricing until age 10. Guests age 10+ are then considered adults for pricing with dining and theme park tickets.

Wishing you lots of magic during your Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
