Hi Charleen,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing us your question about how to make your visit magical for your Mouseketeer!
Since each case is considered on an individual basis, you'll need to speak with a Cast Member to determine your son's eligibility for the
Disability Access Service (DAS). You may do that once you arrive by stopping at Guest Relations inside the first park you visit, but I'd recommend taking advantage of the
pre-registration option before you arrive. If approved, you'll be able to reserve up to
two experiences per day ahead of time during your video chat with a Cast Member. Plus, just having everything all set up before you arrive will allow you to hit the ground running!
Disney is committed to making the magic and fun accessible to
everyone, and the DAS is one of many complimentary
services provided for Guests with disabilities. As the mama of an Autistic Mouseketeer, I'd encourage you to reach out to a Cast Member if you need advice about a quiet place for a sensory break or any questions you might have about what to expect on an attraction or how to make your son comfortable. We've always found them to be happy to help in whatever ways they can. Of course, I'd also recommend packing anything that your son might find comforting. I usually bring some sensory toys, a sensory brush, snacks, and headphones in case my kiddo is having a tough time.
Thanks again for bringing your question to us here at planDisney, Charleen. I hope that you and your son have a truly magical vacation together!
Missy
