Is there somewhere that tells distances between attractions? i.e: distance from The Garden Grill to Norway in Epcot? Never been to Disney-finding it's a bit difficult to schedule/plan when you aren't sure how long it takes to walk from A to B

    Hi Sandy,

I have good news for you! This summer, Walt Disney World added a "Get Directions" option to the My Disney Experience mobile app. Using this function, you can find step-by-step directions on foot, by bus, monorail and boat between destinations. This includes areas within the theme parks.

For example, the app tells me it should take about 9 minutes to walk from Garden Grill in The Land Pavilion at Epcot to the Frozen Ever After attraction in Norway. At Magic Kingdom, it's about a 6 minute walk from Cinderella Castle to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Star Wars Launch Bay to Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Hollywood Studios: 3 minutes.

You get the idea. I love this new feature!

You can find an introductory video here on the Disney Parks Blog. Or, when you are in the My Disney Experience mobile app, simply search for your destination and hit "Get Directions."

Thanks for stopping in at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Sandy. I hope you find the "Get Directions" feature useful in making your plans. It works, even when you are miles and miles from Walt Disney World.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else as you put together your itinerary. Enjoy!
