Hiya Kirsty,
Welcome to planDisney! Bringing little Mouseketeers to Walt Disney World Resort is the best. I love watching my daughter meet her favorite characters, see all the fireworks, and try all the yummy snacks. It doesn't matter how old your baby is; Walt Disney World Resort is the most magical place for all of their senses.
Traveling to Orlando can be challenging as an adult but add in a baby or toddler, which is undoubtedly a lot more stressful. Between the car seat, stroller, and bags, it looked like we were moving to the resort the last time we visited. So let's talk about a few options for traveling with your little one's car seat. If you are staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel, you can store your car seat with
Bell Services while you wait for your room to be ready. If you are not planning to "be our guest," then there isn't a specific area to store your car seat. However, depending on the size of your car seat, you may be able to use a
Theme Park locker as storage. These lockers are available (subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis) for a daily rate and they come in three sizes. Without knowing the dimensions of your car seat, the size most likely to work would be a jumbo size which can be found at either Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. It is a tight squeeze, but I can fit my daughter's car seat if I need to (the locker dimension is 17" x 22" x 26"). Unfortunately, you would have to remove the car seat at the end of each day, so it's not a long-term solution, but it could work for a day in the Theme Park.
One last thing, if you don't think your car seat will fit, I have a final suggestion for you. From Orlando International Airport, you can take either
Mears Connect or Sunshine Flyer to Walt Disney World Resort! Both do not require car seats which can save you from having to bring it with you.
I hope this was helpful, Kirsty! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
