Is there somewhere to take my daughter fishing? She is 10 and has never been fishing and wants to try it out. My husband and I are not fishermen!

    Hey there Julie,

Fishing excursions are available through Walt Disney World Recreation and this is a great way to let your little angler "get her fishin' feet wet."  Private Catch and Release excursions leave from several of the Walt Disney World Resort Marinas and include a guide and everything you'll need to reel 'em in.  Most of these trips are on a pontoon boat that can accommodate up to 5 guests.  Reservations must be made by calling (407)WDW-PLAY.  Prices range between $270 for 2 hours and $455 for 4 hours.

Dockside fishing is also available at Port Orleans Riverside Resort and at Fort Wilderness Campground. Reservations are not required and cane poles and worms are available for $4/ hour individual or $12/hour for the family (up to 6 people).

These fishing areas are stocked with catfish, bass, and blue gill and fishermen of all ages are almost guaranteed a catch!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
