Hi Robert! Welcome back to planDisney.
Taking on
Walt Disney World Resort is a physically challenging endeavor for the fittest of individuals. I logged 10 miles yesterday exploring the theme parks. If you have mobility issues, you should definitely plan ahead for your trip. Good news, you can bring your walking stick. I would humbly offer a couple of other suggestions to guarantee you have the most magical day.
At the theme parks, you can rent
Wheelchairs and
Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) on a first-come-first-serve basis. These locations are located close to the entry gates. Rentals cannot be taken outside of the parks, but with your receipt, you can get a new rental if you should happen to park hop or visit
Disney Springs.
Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own mobility vehicle. If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, consider renting an ECV through Disney's Featured Provider, Scooterbug. These rentals will be accepted and returned by Bell Services without you having to be physically present. The bonus plan with this option is you get to keep your rental to use at the resort and on transportation. You can find a direct link to Scooterbug by scrolling down this
link.
Keeping it Magical,
Cindy
