What is something to do for a “rest” day between parks?

    Welcome to planDisney, Kristina!

Thank you for stopping by with a great question! We are thrilled to assist you as you plan a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Although I could easily spend every single day of my Walt Disney World Resort vacation at the theme parks, my girls and my husband would not be able to keep up with me. Rest days are very important for my family, so I always add them between park days.

We love visiting in the summer and we love swimming, so one of our favorite things to do is staying at our Disney Resorts Collection hotel to enjoy the pool. I think it is very important to have at least one day to sleep in a little longer and just enjoy your Disney Resort hotel. Another fun thing to do is exploring complimentary resort transportation! I usually make dining reservations at a restaurant located at another Disney Resort hotel and explore transportation options to get there. Depending on where you are staying and where you are going, you might have to use more than one type of transportation to get to your final destination.

My family also likes going for a nice walk around Disney’s BoardWalk after playing at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, and we are planning to go bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes next time we visit Disney Springs! Whatever you decide to do, be sure you do not plan too many activities, try to get some rest! Recharging is essential to enjoy your visit to the fullest.

I hope this is helpful, Kristina! Come back to visit us if you have additional questions and be sure to check our Panel Extras for more tips and advice.

    Best magical wishes,
