I want to do something really special for my best friend during our trip for taking care of me...she is a professional chef....is there any thing that could be arranged for her to meet a chef, tour a kittchen, etc? Keeping in mind we have young kids.

    Hi Billie,

You don't mention when you are planning to visit Walt Disney World, but a chef in your party, I'm guessing a trip during Epcot's annual International Food and Wine Festival would be an amazing treat for your friend.  This year's event is taking place from September 28- November 12, and during the festival, Epcot is transformed into a culinary dream world!  The event features:

  • Kiosks featuring tapas and beverages from a variety of nations
  • Cooking demonstrations and special dining events—including experiences with celebrity chefs.
  •  Wine tastings
  • Live musical performances by popular artists
  • I'm not aware of any additional tours specifically featuring Disney kitchens or chefs, but the festival is a great option for your friend.  Many of the backstage tours have age restrictions, so younger guests in your party wouldn't be able to participate.

    I hope this helps!
