I'm happy to report that your Guest will be able to use their old MagicBand, and the only thing you need to do is link the Theme Park ticket that you purchased to their Disney account. Once their ticket has been linked to them, they won't need to do anything else for their MagicBand to work at the
Walt Disney World Resort!
Amy, to link your Guest's ticket to their account, you'll need to open your
My Disney Experience mobile app, click on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right corner of the screen, and scroll all the way down. Now, click on "My Profile" and switch to the "Family & Friends List" tab. Scroll down once again, click on "Add a Guest", and select the "I'll enter their name and age" option. All you need to do now is fill out the form with your Guest's information! When you're done, they should receive an email with an invitation from you. Have them accept it, and then continue with the linking process.
Now that your Guest has been linked to you, you'll need to assign their ticket to their profile. To do this, open the app again, click on the three horizontal lines, and select "Tickets & Passes". Once here, please locate your Guest's ticket, click on the blue "Reassign Ticket" button, and select their name! After you've followed all these steps, your Guest will be good to go.
