If someone transfers me Disney tickets can I add genie plus?

Glad to meet ya, Ryleigh! As my friend, Tigger, would say, thanks for bouncing over to planDisney with your question!

The easiest way to transfer a ticket is for the original purchaser to contact Disneyland Ticketing at (714) 781-4636 to change the name on the ticket, and then they can send you a screenshot of the barcode to link it to your Disneyland account. If they have already made theme park reservations, they will remain intact. Once the ticket is in your account, you can only add Disney Genie+ through the Disneyland Mobile app on the day of your visit after entering the park based on availability. There are two nice perks to adding Genie+: it includes unlimited PhotoPass downloads for each day the service is purchased, and they also recently added some fun AR lenses!

To purchase Genie+ once you have entered the park:
    1. Click the three stacked lines in the lower right of the app.
    2. Click on "My Genie Day," scroll down to the purple line that says "Take today to the next level," and click on "get Disney Genie+ for today."

There are a couple of recent updates to Genie+ to keep in mind. One is that same-day sales may stop at any time when there is high Guest demand. If that happens, you'll see a message displaying "Purchase of Disney Genie+ service is no longer offered for today" in your Disneyland app. Also new is that same-day Genie+ purchases will be variably priced based on date and demand.

I hope this helps, Ryleigh! TTFN! Ta-ta for now!
