Hi, Someone told me that even though we have made reservations for few of the restaurants we may still be waiting in line for anywhere from 15 min. to an hour. Just wondering if this info is accurate. Cheers

    Hi Carla,

As good as Disney is at managing guest experiences, dining reservations aren't an exact science. It is nearly impossible to predict how long guests will occupy their tables and to judge the ebb and flow.

That said, in dozens of meals at Disney restaurants over the past 15 years, I can think of only a few times when we have waited longer than 15 minutes or so to be seated. (On at least one of those occasions, the problem was a dead battery in our pager.) I never recall waiting as long as an hour.

To minimize your wait time, I suggest checking in at least 15 minutes before your reservation time and being sure your entire party is present and ready to be seated. The greeter normally will give you some indication of how long it will be before your table is ready.

If the wait stretches much beyond that estimate, it is fine to politely ask how much longer and to check to be sure the pager is functioning properly.

I hope that eases your concerns. Dining in all the great restaurants is my favorite Walt Disney World activity, so please let me know if I can offer any recommendations or answer any other questions as you plan your visit. Enjoy!
