Can someone tell me where all the taxidermy is in Disney World? I have a strange fear of it and would like to know before I go back. I know there is one above the entrance inside the Canada store in Epcot. And the 3 (very fake ones) at the Jamboree show.

Hello Ashley! Thanks so much for your question. I'm guessing you are very unlike Gaston who loves taxidermy and uses antlers in all of his decorating! I do not believe there is any online resource that lists every place on property that has taxidermy, however I was just at Walt Disney World last week and tried to keep my eyes open so that I could report back to you. My Moms Panel friends and I found some authentic taxidermy at Trail's End Restaurant. We also saw the taxidermy moose head above the door in the Canada pavilion. I suggest that you avoid areas like Disney's Ft. Wilderness Resort and Frontierland which uses a lot of taxidermy in decor. I also suggest that you stay away from Gaston's Tavern as there are lots of woodland creatures on his wall and of course, many antlers.

One of the problems in trying to identify true taxidermy is that Walt Disney World has many animatronic animals that look very real, but are in fact just robots. I believe that most of the attractions that have lots of animals like Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, Country Bear Jamboree, Jungle Cruise, and Splash Mountain are not true taxidermy. I hope that the animatronic animals don't freak you out, because then you'd miss out on some really awesome experiences.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
