Could someone tell me more about Saratoga Springs resort? I have toured and the themeing didn't really appeal to me, but it's very large so it must be popular. What are some of the benefits to it that I am missing?

    Hi Heather!

My family stayed at Saratoga Springs a few years back, and while the themeing may not be over the top compared to other resorts, there are a lot of nice features.

The part we probably liked best was the proximity to Downtown Disney.  It was about a 10 minute walk along a very nice path.  We liked not having to use any transportation to get there.

Another positive feature is that Saratoga Springs is a Disney Vacation Club property, so it offers many room types.  Having 6 in our travel party on that trip, we enjoyed having a two-bedroom unit with a full kitchen and lots of space.  We were able to have several meals in the room which was nice with small children.

Other amenities include tennis and basketball courts, bike and surrey-bike rentals, a playgroud, restaurants and even a Spa.

Saratoga Springs has over 800 units.  Rooms range from a Studio that sleeps four people, to a Grand Villa that sleeps twelve people.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
