Can someone tell me if I have planned a good trip? I want it to be so special for my 5 year old's first visit.we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge from Nov 29-Dec 4, doing breakfast at Tusker House,a lunch at coral reef and a dinner at crystal palace

    Hi Stacey,

It sounds like you have a great trip planned!  I'm sure you and your family will create some special memories of this first Disney vacation.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful, and being able to watch the animals from your room or from special observation areas is incredible.  I think you'll find that this resort is unique and fun.

As far as your dining choices, Tusker House and Crystal Palace are two of my family's favorite character meals.  Coral Reef is also a nice choice, and I'm sure your little one will enjoy searching for fish in the HUGE aquarium.  You may want to consider at least one more table service restaurant during your stay.  I find that one per day really allows my family to take a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the parks.  50s Prime Time Cafe, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and 'Ohana are all unique dining experiences.  Don't forget the great restaurants right in your resort: Sanaa and Boma are both delicious and family friendly.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
