Is there someone I can talk to or pay to help plan lighting lane passes and individual fast passes

    Hello there Jackie,

Welcome to planDisney! I see you're arriving soon at Disney World, that's incredibly exciting! My family recently used a combination of both Lightening Lane Multi Pass along with a couple of Lightening Lane Single Passes... and it made our time in the parks so enjoyable. I know these kind of planning details can be a tad overwhelming at times, so let's see if I can help you out. You can always "talk to us" here at planDisney about your Disney vacation planning!

Here are the basic steps. Lightning Lane Passes are a pretty slick system, and easy to make or modify your selections at any time.

    1. Log on to your My Disney Experience app. If you don't have it, definitely install it and get logged on with your Disney account! This will be your Lightning Lane lifeline.
    2. On the app home screen, click "Purchase" on the LIGHTNING LANE widget.
    3. Select the date you'll be visiting, then the Disney Park, to see prices and what's offered (each park offers a "Multi Pass", and also 1-2 "Single Pass" options for the more in demand attractions).
    4. Next you'll be prompted for members in your party who need a pass.
    5. Last you'll get to see available attractions and time slots.
    6. The final step will be payment in the app.

Then repeat these steps for each park day you'd like to reserve Lightning Lane passes for.

It looks like you may have reached the 7 days prior to your arrival date (today!) so if you are staying at a Disney resort... I would do this right away. Or if you are staying at an off site property, you can log on and purchase starting at 7:00 am Eastern Time, 3 days prior to your arrival.

PRO TIP: Take a peek in the app at the map, select "Wait Times" at the top, and filter by the Disney Park you're investigating. This will give you a snapshot of typical ride wait times. Compare that to your party's must-do list... and you'll know what the best choices are for selecting a Lightning Lane Pass!

ANOTHER TIP: If you'll be purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP), select reservation times as early as possible. As soon as you scan in to that first attraction, you can immediately go to your app and grab another pass reservation! You can continue to do this throughout the day, as long as there continues to be pass times available. When you see an attraction with a later return time.... those are the attractions that will be the first to run out for the day.

So for example, let's say I'm using LLMP at Magic Kingdom for the day. As soon as I scan in to use my first LL reservation, I quickly check my app to book another LL experience for the day. If I see several return times in the afternoon, but that Jungle Cruise return time is 8:30 pm.... I'd chose that! This will increase your chances of maximizing your LLMP. Lightning Lane really is such a time saver, and helps assure you'll get to do your favorite things at Disney World.

I know you've got this, Jackie! You might even find yourself addicted to Disney vacation planning after this, like myself. It's part of the fun!

Feel free to reach out to us again at planDisney with any additional questions. We're always here to help!

    Sending pixie dust,
    Tami
