Hi Robin:
There are a number of wonderful restaurants at Walt Disney World to celebrate a birthday. If I had to select where I would want my birthday dinner, it would be
California Grill atop the Contemporary Resort. California Grill features delicious California Fusion cooking and spectacular views of the Magic Kingdom and the Wishes fireworks show. If I could throw in two close runner-ups, I would also recommend
Le Cellier, a tasty steakhouse at Epcot's Canada Pavilion and
Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge, which serves dishes influenced by African, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisine. My favorite restaurant at Grand Floridian is
Victoria and Albert's, a delicious formal restaurant and winner year-after-year of the prestigious AAA Five Diamond award, however, four year-olds are not allowed in the dining room, so you would have to
arrange for childcare.
As a birthday bonus, after dinner, I would consider a stroll along Downtown Disney where you can take in
Characters in Flight, a balloon ride up in the air featuring expansive views of Disney World property and beyond.
Have a wonderful dinner.
