Hi Christine!
If you search the internet for 'Tower Hotel' at Walt Disney World Resort you'll get three results. The first is Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is technically a Disney Vacation Club Resort. The second is the
Hollywood Tower Hotel, but they aren't currently accepting reservations because the elevators are all out of service due to a violent lightening strike.
The third option, where you're staying, is the ultra-deluxe hotel-within-a-hotel top floor of the A-frame main building of
Disney's Contemporary Resort. I actually stayed on this floor with my family last week and Christine, you're in for a real treat. Unlike the other 8 guest floors of Disney's Contemporary Resort, this floor does not open to the main atrium that overlooks the monorail or Chef Mickey's. Instead guests of the 16 rooms on this private and quite floor are greeted by a friendly and helpful Concierge Cast Member who can assist with almost anything you need. You'll have all day access to the Tower Club Lounge, which offers an array of light meal, snack and beverage options from 7 A.M. until 10 P.M. daily. You'll also have breathtaking views of Happily Ever After, Magic Kingdom Park's nightly firework display from the lounge, and possibly your own room.
As a guest of the Tower level of Disney's Contemporary Hotel,
Disney's Signature Services team will reach out to you soon. Disney has gone green, so current hard maps of the entirety of Walt Disney World Resort are no longer in circulation, but I bet the Signature Services team would love to help you out.
I hope this helped, Christine, and We'll See You Real Soon!
~Kristen
