Can someone please tell me how long Baymax will be in Epcot for? His character experience says he is closing due to ongoing transformations at Epcot. I have a feeling my son is going to be devastated that he will never get to meet his favorite character.

    Hi Michelle!

I'm so excited to hear that you are getting ready for a magical family trip to Walt Disney World Resort! The Disney Imagineers are working on so many incredible new things for the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs. Are you and your son excited about the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge? I can't wait to explore all of the magic on Black Spire Outpost when it opens on August 29! Hopefully, you and your son are planning to spend some time exploring Batuu during your vacation.

Epcot is undergoing an amazing transformation, with new attractions, restaurants and experiences on the way. Currently, Guests can meet Baymax in Hiro's Workshop when they visit Epcot, but unfortunately, everyone's favorite personal healthcare robot has to make his way back to San Fransokyo and his Character Experience will be closing later this year. There haven't been any announcements about a new location for Guests to meet Baymax, but I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about new Character Experiences that will be available during your trip, as well as the other things you will be able to enjoy during your visit.

Sending extra pixie dust your way in hopes that your son will be able to meet many of his favorite Disney friends during your vacation! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
