Hiya, Kerrie, and welcome to planDisney!
EPCOT and festivals kind of go hand in hand. But there are weeks where we’ll find this beloved theme park in flux. As a Guest who visits frequently, I find that this is a fantastic time to explore the restaurants and kiosks that are there year round but may be overshadowed by the festivals’ sweets and treats.
This summer is the longest gap between festivals that I’ve seen in a while, so I am not totally sure about the usage of the food booths during this transitional period. However, usually, you’ll see that the booths are shut off and are getting a new theme for the next festival. Your dates are toward the end of the hiatus, so you might see a bit of the decorative magic happening as you walk past them.
There are some kiosks or areas that are open all year, but they most likely won’t be themed to a festival or have specialty food offerings. For example, the
Refreshment Outpost (near the Germany Pavilion),
Refreshment Port (near the Canada Pavilion),
Kabuki Cafe (in the Japan Pavilion), and
Choza de Margarita (in the Mexico Pavilion) are always serving up a delicious snack, no matter the season. You can always depend on an assortment of baked goods and warm (or chilled) drinks at
Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company booths around the theme park, too.
AN EXTRA GEM: Your visit is also a good time to make an advance dining reservation (up to 60 days before your arrival) for one of the many table-service restaurants around EPCOT. My family
loves the
Garden Grill Restaurant in World Nature. Character dining restaurants like that one and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall create some of those unforgettable experiences that you talk about long after you’ve returned home.
I hope that this helps, Kerrie. I just know that you are going to have an amazing time exploring the World Showcase and beyond. If you have additional Disney vacation planning questions, revisit us here at planDisney.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
