Hi, Erin!
Thanks for visiting with your question. I hope you’re enjoying making plans for your magical family vacation at the
Disneyland Resort...it’s just around the pixie-dusted corner!
The Disneyland Resort is extremely accommodating when it comes to
dietary restrictions due to common food allergies. Many restaurants, including sit-down and quick-service locations, offer allergy-friendly menus broken down by category in addition to alternate meal options. You’ll find that gluten-free buns and rolls can be requested at most restaurants in both theme parks, including
Award Wieners. The All-Beef Hot Dog and Bacon Street Dog (when served on an allergy-friendly bun), Filmstrip Fries and Seasonal Fruit are all gluten-free. However, the chili served at Award Wieners is not currently on the allergy-friendly menu.
Keep in mind that you can also request pizza with gluten-free crust and rice noodles with marinara sauce in both theme parks. Gluten-free waffles can be made upon request during breakfast at some locations, and you should be able to find baked chicken at lunch and dinner. I do recommend that anyone with an allergy double check in person at the Disneyland Resort before enjoying a food item, as ingredients and menus are subject to change.
I hope you find this information helpful, Erin. Please stop by again as you continue to plan your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
