Mobile Ordering!
You simply use the
My Disney Experience App on your smartphone to order your meal prior to picking it up. You do not need any other apps, or software to use it. When you are in your respective park, all you have to do is bring up the restaurant in mind. From that point the menu is there, and you just pick what you want to order. Some customization is allowed as well, which is great for my family, as we have some members that have food allergies.
I think what I like the most is that I can order during a downtime, like when I am in line at an attraction. That does not mean that my food is sitting at the restaurant for an hour, already cooked and getting dried out and burned. Instead, after ordering, they simply have you notify them by way of the app when you have arrived at the restaurant. Once you have done that your meal is prepared to keep it fresh. You pick it up, and you are ready to go. There are even pick-up areas for people using the Mobile Ordering process, so there is no need to wait in the traditional line.
I have used it several times in the last two trips, and not only was it easy and intuitive, but it was so fast that I felt like I was skipping the line.
