Can someone please explain to me if I am looking the ride ROR and HS opens at 9am, what time should I plan to be there to get boarding passes?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Dawn!

I had the opportunity to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance recently, and let me tell you, it was an experience unlike anything I’ve seen.

As you may know, access to the attraction is through a virtual queue and Guests will need to join a Boarding Group through the My Disney Experience mobile app. While there is no way to guarantee an exact ride time, I would advise you to arrive early prior to the opening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Also, be sure to crosscheck the Park Hours of dates that you will be visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios as I know the park has been recently opening at 7:00 AM.

Lately Guests have been held in the Hollywood Boulevard or Sunset Boulevard areas (I've heard starting at around 6:20 AM) until scheduled park opening time and at 7:00 AM, you will be able to select the "Join Boarding Group" button on the home page of the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Once you’ve secured your reservation and your boarding group is called, you’ll then have up to two hours to return to the attraction. This way you’ll still have plenty of time to plan out the rest of your day.

If you have any other questions, please let us know. Have a magical day!
