If someone in your party wants to go on a different ride do the sign into the Disney app with the same account information just on a different phone? How does the app know who is going on what ride when multiple people have tickets on one phone?

    Hello, Linda!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sharing your question with us. I have great news for you, so let's get started!

You have your tickets on your phone right now, but they will become physical when you go through the turnstiles at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. It sounds like magic, but it's not!

The Cast Members welcoming you at the theme park will scan the tickets on your phone, take a photo of each of your travel companions and print a physical ticket assigned to each person. Those tickets are essential because they will be your keys to reenter the theme parks on the same day or the following days. I usually keep my physical ticket in a lanyard or my wallet to avoid losing it while having all the fun!

Each person will have a printed ticket, so your group can separate and reassemble right after! Fun, isn't it?

I hope this good news simplifies your planning process, dear Linda!

May the magic be with you,
