Welcome to planDisney, Gail. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest. It's not long now until you're off to
Neverland. Remember, second star to the right and straight on 'til morning. One of the things my family loves to do in the final month of our trip is to make a giant paper chain. Every day, one of my children excitedly breaks off a chain-link until we have no more days left. Then we jump on our magic carpet and fly off to a whole new world. The anticipation is half the fun, I always say!
Having said that, the pandemic has brought a real sense of anxiety in the anticipation too! In the build-up to my last trip, I remember feeling stressed about getting sick and my plans being ruined. So I can certainly sympathize with how you must be feeling right now.
Policies are always subject to change, however, at this current time, the
Walt Disney World cancelation policy states that if you cancel a Disney Resort Hotel Package within 29 days to 2 days before your arrival date you will receive a full refund, minus a $200 penalty per room. This includes any Theme Park tickets you've purchased with your room and ticket package. However, if you decided to purchase Park tickets on their own then those tickets are non-refundable. All hope is not lost, however, as the value of any unused tickets does not expire and can be used toward a future visit.
If you wait to cancel until 1 day or less before your visit to cancel then you won't be able to get a refund on your vacation package. Therefore, if you decide you need to cancel your trip and reschedule for another date, I'd encourage you to make a decision sooner rather than later.
Gail, if you need to cancel your upcoming trip, you're going to want to call the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservation team. You'll then be able to speak to a friendly Cast Member who can give you all the help you need. Hopefully, it doesn't come to that. I'll be wishing upon a star that all your dreams come true and you get to enjoy
The World's Most Magical Celebration.
Gail, please don't hesitate to
let me know if you have any further questions about your trip.
ChEARS,
Mike
