Hey howdy hey, Karen!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for bringing us your question regarding
Disney Skyliner access! I'm thrilled about the opportunity to help you out on this topic because the Disney Skyliner happens to be my favorite mode of
Walt Disney World Resort Transportation. My family just returned from an unforgettable stay at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort and my son loved watching the colorful gondolas pass by our Resort hotel room almost as much as he enjoyed riding in them! My family agreed that staying at a Resort hotel with Disney Skyliner access was a major convenience and a highlight of our vacation.
If you aren't familiar with the layout of the Disney Skyliner quite yet, not to worry - you've got a friend in me! The Disney Skyliner is made up of three "lines" with a central hub located at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. One line connects the International Gateway at EPCOT to Disney's Riviera Resort and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. A second line connects Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The last line connects Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. (It can be helpful to view a
map of the Disney Skyliner before taking flight!) Please note that, depending on your starting point, you may need to transfer between lines to get to your final destination of Disney's Hollywood Studios. However, in my experience, transferring lines is a quick and easy process!
Karen, you'll be happy to learn that Disney Skyliner transportation is available to all Walt Disney World Resort Guests! Upon arrival onsite at Walt Disney World Resort, Guests can take advantage of complimentary bus, watercraft, monorail, and Disney Skyliner transportation. It's important to note that Disney Resort hotel parking is reserved for Guests either staying at the property or that have dining reservations at the property. If your family members are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel and don't have dining reservations onsite, my recommendation is for them to park at
Disney Springs and utilize bus transportation to a Resort hotel along the Disney Skyliner route. There, you could meet up and enjoy your flight to
Disney's Hollywood Studios together - to infinity and beyond!
I hope you find this information helpful, Karen. It has been my pleasure to discuss the Disney Skyliner with you! I hope you'll return to planDisney with any additional vacation planning questions you may have - we're here to help you create a magical and memorable vacation experience for your family.
See ya real soon,
Lauren
