What does someone need to do at the gate to prove they are a SoCal resident if they have a SoCal ticket?

    Hello, Whitney!

Thank you for bringing your question to us and welcome to planDisney. We are so happy to see that you will be visiting The Happiest Place on Earth very soon! I’m even more excited to hEAR that you will be doing so using the California Resident Ticket Offer.

To validate your residency, you will want to make sure that your address, listed on your Disneyland account, is current and holds a California ZIP code. If that is up-to-date, you will be good to purchase and link your tickets to your account. After completing your purchase and scheduling your Theme Park Reservations, you will once again be asked to verify your residency, on the day of your visit, using a valid government-issued photo ID before admission.

Although I am not a California resident myself, I’ve had a similar experience using the military offer. At the gates, after scanning the first ticket a Cast Member will usually ask to see the military member's ID. At that point, my husband or I hand over our military ID and after a quick check, we are finally back home

Whitney, I hope this helps answer your question. Have a magical visit and be sure to let us know if there’s anything else we can help with!
