Hey there, Ebony. I bet you are getting so excited for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, it's right around the corner!
I am more than happy to share some information regarding stroller and ECV rentals at Walt Disney World. First, let's start with the
stroller rentals. When my daughter was phasing out of her stroller, I used to rent one at Walt Disney World when she thought she needed one and let me tell you, they are great. The strollers are made out of a hard-type plastic that is easy to wipe out in case of spills. There's a sunshade to help keep little ones cool and protected from the Florida sun. There's also a cup holder and a storage bag you can put all of your souvenirs in while walking around, I miss those features the most! Stroller rentals can be found right inside each of the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks and at
Disney Springs. The cost of a single stroller is $15.00 per day and for a double stroller, it is $31.00 per day. You can also pre-rent a stroller for the length of your stay once you arrive at your first Walt Disney World Theme Park. This saves you a few dollars each day and quite a bit of time each morning. Doing this makes each day about $13.00 for a single stroller and $27.00 for a double stroller. If you decide to do the length of stay rental, you'll just need to hold on to your receipt. When you arrive at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks the next day, you won't have to wait in line to pay again. You simply show the receipt to the Cast Member handing out the strollers and off you'll go for a full day of fun. Strollers are not to be removed from the parks so when you are done each day you'll simply return it to the location you got it in the mornings. No deposit is required to rent a stroller at one of the theme parks, however, if you'd like to rent one while visiting Disney Springs you will need to put down a $100 credit card deposit to ensure that the stroller will make its way back at the end of the night.
Electric Conveyance Vehicles are also for rent at all of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Water Parks and at Disney Springs. The daily rent to rent one at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks is $50.00 with a $20 refundable location. At Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World Water Parks, an ECV rental is $50.00 a day with a refundable $100 deposit. Daily rentals are transferable between locations meaning if you park hop to a different theme park later in the day, you only need to pay once. Hang on to your receipt and you will be able to use an ECV at the next location as well that same day. ECV rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and reservations are not accepted. It is recommended to arrive early at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks if you need to secure one. Guests must be at least 18 years old to rent and operate an ECV and a photo ID is required. If you have your own ECV you are welcome to bring it to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
Ebony, I hope this helps provide you with a little more insight into the rental process. If you have any other questions before your trip, please come back and
ask me. I'd love to help! One more thing, Ebony, all of the strollers and ECVs do all look the same. I always suggest bringing something from home, like a brightly colored bandanna to tie on somewhere to help you find it in a crowd quicker - something that makes it stand out to you!
