Can someone help me think of something new and special for our New Years Eve DAYTIME celebration at Disney World this year (last year we did an in-room celebration) for two young (under 5) boys? We are staying at bay lake and have a fireworks view.

    Hi Liseann,

Ok, I have a non-traditional way your family could celebrate the day of New Years Eve.  Have you considered booking a private fishing excursion?  My husband and son did this when my son was five-years-old and you should have seen the enormous grin on his face when he pulled several huge bass out of Bay Lake. The guides who take guests on these fishing expeditions will pick you up at the dock behind Disney's Contemporary Resort and will help your family with the hooks, poles, and bait.  They also know where to find the best fishing spots between Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon.  It was an amazing afternoon that my son will surely never forget.  I bet your boys would enjoy it too.

If booking a fishing expedition intrigues you, call (407) WDW-PLAY to reserve your boat.

Best wishes and thanks for a fun question!
