If you did not purchase
Genie+ when you originally bought your
Theme Park Tickets, then the next opportunity will be after that ticket is scanned into the Parks. So for the individual in question, they will be unable to purchase Genie+ until that particular ticket has been scanned into the Parks. Even if you are all linked in a group, if you attempt to purchase Genie+ for everyone, the
Disneyland Mobile App will list that individual's ticket as ineligible for Genie+. The phenomenal cosmic power of Genie+ is not unlimited, however, and it does sometimes sell out, so hopefully your friend is not too far behind you in entering the Parks.
When you do have the power of Genie+, make sure you use it to its fullest potential! Take advantage of all those Disney
PhotoPass photographers and snag some whimsical pictures with your group! And make sure you study the Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guides for the
Festival of Holidays and
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. There are so many delicious items there and I didn't come close to making a dent in my checklist but everything was so yummy!
