If someone is on my "Family and Friends" list and not my "We're planning together" list can I still book Lightening Lanes for them? I want to get them for everyone we are traveling with

Welcome to planDisney, Mary! It sounds like you’re getting ready for a magical visit to Walt Disney World, and I’d be happy to help with your Lightning Lane planning. Navigating the My Disney Experience app and ensuring that everyone in your travel party is included can be tricky, but I’m here to make it as simple as possible.

You can still book Lightning Lane Passes for someone on your Family & Friends List, even if they are not in your "We're Planning Together" group. "We're Planning Together" applies to shared plans such as dining reservations and hotel stays, but as long as they are linked to your Family & Friends List and have valid park tickets, you will be able to select them when booking Lightning Lanes.

If you don’t currently see their name when making selections, they may need to adjust their settings in My Disney Experience to allow you to make plans for them. You can check by going to Family & Friends, selecting their name, and ensuring that you have the ability to make plans on their behalf.

Mary just a quick tip - When using Lightning Lane Passes, each guest must purchase it for themselves through their My Disney Experience account. As long as everyone in your group has purchased Lightning Lane Multi-Pass for the same day and is linked through the Friends & Family list, reservations can be made either together by one person or individually.

By linking through the Friends & Family list, one person can oversee and coordinate reservations for the group. This is especially helpful for families or groups who prefer one person to take the lead in planning. If different members of the group want to experience different attractions, the app allows for flexibility. Each individual can choose and manage their own reservations, and you’ll still see the plans for those who are linked. For high demand attractions, it’s often best for one person to make the reservations for the group to ensure everyone gets the same return time.

Mary, I hope you find this information helpful as you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Have a magical day!
