    If someone doesn’t show up in your virtual queue group does it prevent you from joining the ride?

    Hi there Connor, thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

    When it comes to Virtual Queues there are definitely quite a few folks that I often spot around Walt Disney World Resort having difficulty figuring it out for themselves, so I'm always happy to help whenever I can - especially if it means helping you have the chance to experience some of the most popular rides or attractions!

    • It sounds like you'll be traveling as part of a group, so the most important thing that you'll want to make sure that you do first is have everyone linked in their Family & Friends lists as soon as possible.
    • Make sure everyone has valid admission (and depending on the type of admission they have like an Annual Pass, this could even require a Theme Park reservation) for the theme park where the ride you're aiming for is located, on the day that you want to attempt to join the Virtual Queue.
    • If the two above conditions are met, you should be able to select everyone in your group (and do so as quick as possible) in order to take your shot at joining the Virtual Queue for either Tiana's Bayou Adventure, TRON Lightcycle/Run or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. At the time of writing, these are currently the three rides requiring the use of a Virtual Queue or Lightning Lane pass in order to be experienced though this has been subject to change without prior notice in the past and may change again in the future.
    • If for any reason you were somehow only successful in joining the Virtual Queue with part of your group and other party members were not selected - they will not be able to join you. Though they won't necessarily be able to ride, this does not prevent you from riding without them! (I have however observed families who may have accidentally left someone out speaking with Cast Members from the Guest Experience Team in their distinct blue shirts, and you're always welcome to ask them for their insight or to see whether they can assist in any way.
    There's never any guarantee that guests will be able to ride these attractions, even despite successfully entering the Virtual Queue but here's hoping this will help you ensure that your entire group can enjoy these together on your next visit! Some of my personal tips are to carefully watch the time and count down the seconds until it's time to try joining the Virtual Queue, and also have your eligible party selected in advance as you refresh just before 7:00 A.M. or 1:00 P.M. when these opportunities open up. You just might want to avoid this by opting to purchase Lightning Lane passes, with prices that vary depending on the day which you can already check out on the My Disney Experience app.

    Here's hoping you can be as swift as a coursing river, and snag a spot in the Virtual Queue for all of you!
