Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stacie! I think like Rafiki tells us, you know who you are! And what you want to see at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! This park is home to some amazing animals, and Disney is doing wonderful things with conservation!
Sadly, if you are visiting after October 21, 2018, Rafiki’s Planet Watch, where the veterinary procedures and checkups take place, will be closed to guests. We hope that it will reopen, but you can read on the
Rafiki’s Planet Watch and Conservation Station page that you can check back at a later date for updates. The Disney Parks Blog will be the first ones to announce changes or any returns that will be planned. In the meantime, you can participate in the upcoming
2019 “Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party” on Discovery Island with Timon and Rafiki. If it’s animal care that has your heart growing, you may want to look into a
Wild Africa Trek or a Savannah Tour in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I took the Wild Africa Trek with my Mom in January and I adored seeing animals up close on rope bridges and near enclosures.
If I can help you find any more activities during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
