Welcome to planDisney, Seneda!
Well, aren’t you sweet to plan a vacation around your son’s birthday! There’s no better place for a birthday celebration than the Most Magical Place of Earth, especially for a 5 year old. Your party of five will certainly be included in all the fun, too.
If you would like assistance in planning your Walt Disney World vacation, my suggestion is to
call Walt Disney World, and a Fairy Godmother or Godfather can get that ball rolling. These dedicated Cast Members can help you make your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation, purchase park tickets, and guide you through all the steps to “Bibbidi Bibbidi Boo”
Disney Park Pass reservations for your theme park days. Being rather busy making pixie dust fly, they simply don’t have the time to call Guests, so you will have to call them. But rest assured they will be at the ready to wave their magic wands and magically produce your reservation.
We want your son’s birthday to be extra special, so let me include some ideas on how to spoil him.
1. Pick up a free Birthday Button from your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, at Guest Relations at all the theme parks and Disney Springs, or at any ticketing window. Then watch as Cast Members and fellow Guests wish him “Happy Birthday!”
2. Plan a Special Delivery with
Disney Floral and Gifts. With a variety of packages and individual gifts, you can customize your selection for your birthday boy! From birthday decorations, balloons, and gift baskets, there's countless options with every Disney fan in mind. My son was all about Woody and Buzz Lightyear at that age...I'm sure they could rustle up something themed around your son's favorite characters.
3. Speaking of the characters, consider making a reservation for Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at
Topolino's Terrace in Disney’s Riviera Resort. This is currently a limited character meal, but it's still a wonderful experience! Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy walk through the restaurant, but they won’t be stopping by tables at this time. It’s the perfect opportunity to take selfies with the characters in the background. Make sure your servers know that it’s your little man’s birthday. Mickey and crew will love hearing about that!
4. Pre-order a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake. Cakes can be arranged for Guests with reservations at participating table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. Shaped like Mickey Mouse ears and covered in chocolate, what’s not to like about this birthday treat?
All of us at planDisney love birthday surprises, so feel free to send more PRESENTS (aka questions) our way. Wishing your son a very “Happy Birthday!” and you all a pixie dusted vacation.
Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust,
Sherry
