Hi Renita! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your question.
I see you are counting down the weeks until your Walt Disney World Resort vacation - how exciting! And, it sounds like you've got a family member or friend who wants to join. I am always a "the more, the merrier" person when it comes to Disney vacations, so this makes my heart happy for all of you.
I chatted with a very helpful Cast Member about your question, which is a little tricky. With an existing
Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, anyone you add to the package reservation would need to have exactly the same type of reservation, including tickets. The Passholder would have the option of not using those tickets and putting their wholly unused value toward a future Annual Pass upgrade or renewal.
Your other option would be to modify your vacation package to a "room only" reservation and then purchase separate
theme park tickets for those who need them. You will need to call and speak with a Cast Member to either add the Passholder or modify your reservation; they can be reached by calling (407) 560-2428. When on the phone, I encourage you to check to ensure your Theme Park Reservations aren't altered in the process, and the person you're adding will need to make
Theme Park Reservations.
An advantage of traveling with an Annual Passholder is that you can take advantage of their
special offers & discounts, such as those on dining and merchandise (as long as they are with you and can show their Passholder card and ID). This includes the
Annual Passholder-discounted Memory Maker, which is a must-have for me. After we're home from a magical vacation, those photos in front of Park Icons and on attractions bring me so much joy!
Renita, I hope you have a fantastic time next month! If you have any further questions as you count down the weeks until your visit, please come back and see us. It's always a pleasure to help a fellow Guest with their Disney dreaming.
Wishing you much magic,
Robyn
