Hi moms!! I am going on a solo trip and staying at CBR at the end of April, what time will the skyliner start running to HS so that I am able to secure a boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance. I’m looking forward to the magic of Disney! Thanks moms!

Hi Joanna! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love that you’ll soon be heading on a solo trip to experience Rise of the Resistance for yourself! I’ve had the pleasure of taking a couple of solo trips to Walt Disney World Resort, and they’ve been simply incredible! (Shhh... don’t tell my kids!)

I have been seeing lots of questions lately about the hours of operation for the Disney Skyliner, which is a common question among park visitors! This particular guest was also going to be staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, which has such a convenient location right on the Skyliner route! I was able to chat with a Cast Member about this, and I am happy to share what I learned with you!

Basically, what I was told is that Disney Skyliner operation start times will vary depending on many different factors, especially Theme Park opening times. However, you can expect that the Skyliner will begin to operate about about 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to whatever is the earliest Park opening time between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot on a given day. While the Skyliner is operational, Disney Resort Buses will only run approximately every hour to those two Theme Parks, but during times when the Skyliner is not operating, bus times will go back to their regular departure times of every 20-30 minutes. As always, you can check Disney Resort Bus expected arrival times right from your My Disney Experience mobile app!

In order to secure a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance, you’ll want to make sure you are inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios with a fully charged cell phone running the latest version of the My Disney Experience mobile app. You’ll be able to join a boarding group anytime after park opening, so make sure you set your alarm and keep an eye on the clock! Once you’ve joined a boarding group, you’ll receive an estimated boarding time, and if/when your boarding group is called, you’ll receive a push notification letting you know that it is time for your ride! You’ll then have two hours to return to the boarding area for Rise of the Resistance, where you will be in for the experience of a lifetime!

Joanna, I hope you enjoy your solo vacation to the fullest, and get to experience the Magic of Disney on your own terms! Please do not hesitate to stop by again if we can help add any more magic to your plans!

    See ya real soon,
    -Clara
