Being a solo trip as a female and would like a room on the giraffe trail, what type of room should I book at Animal Kingdom Lodge?

    Hi, Rebecca!

We've stayed at both Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village; we really love them both!

In order to get a great view of the giraffes, I actually suggest that you request a savannah view room facing Sunset Savanna and  Kidani Village; these are listed as the Kudu Trail Guest Rooms on Walt Disney World's website map.  We had the very best view of giraffes throughout the day, every day, during our stay this past July. We were located several floors up, right next to Sanaa ( a great restaurant at Kidani Village!)

Each morning, as we ate our breakfast on the patio, we watched the giraffes eating theirs pretty much directly in front of us. When we'd return in the afternoon, the giraffes were often there, too. We even saw quite a few of them munching when we checked in one night at almost midnight! So cool!

If you have any questions about this resort, a Dining Plan, or any other facet of your stay in WDW, please be sure to send them my way, Rebecca. I love to help!
