Going as a solo who loves good and different food, wondering reccos and I also haven't been to either Magic Kingdom or Epcot in 32 years, also is there a private tour or guided tour I can partake in for Animal Kingdom.. dates are flexibleFeb8-15

    Salut Sharon!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! When I read your question, Sharon, I felt so excited as I think we have some of the same favourite things at Disney: fun food options and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Plus, since we are both Canadians, I think this further proves we are twins!

My number one suggestion for Guests looking to try different food options is always to visit one of EPCOT's festivals. Since you will be there in early February, you will be able to experience the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, available from January 13th to February 20th, 2022. Although Disney has not yet released the specific menus for each booth, some of my favourites from last year's Festival of the Arts included the Wild Mushroom Risotto in Canada, the Deconstructed Key-Lime Pie, the Sushi Donut from Japan and the Passion Fruit Mousse from Vibrante & Vivido: Encanto Cocina. Another great way to try new things is by participating in the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. This walk across the theme park allows you to collect stamps when you purchase specific food items. Then, once you have collected all the stamps in your seasonal passport, you will be able to get a complimentary treat! I love this activity as it encourages you to try items you otherwise may not have ordered.

As for Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, there are a few tours you can sign up for. If you are an animal lover like me, Caring for Giants and Up Close with Rhinos are great for learning about and getting a closer look at some of the animals that call the Harambe Wildlife home. Since you also love trying different foods, I would highly recommend looking into availability for the Wild Africa Trek or Savor the Savanna, as they both include incredible meals. I personally have been able to go on the Wild Africa Trek twice, and the experience of eating right in the middle of the savanna, surrounded by giraffes, is one I will never forget. They are also accommodating if you have any dietary restrictions, so everyone can enjoy the experience! Each of these experiences require reservations and a theme park reservation, so I recommend booking these as soon as possible.

I hope this was helpful, Sharon, and that you will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out. It is always an honour to help my fellow Canadians create memories that will last a lifetime!

    Have a magical day,
