How does a soft opening for a Disney attraction/event work. I have read online that there might be a soft opening for Rivers of Light toward the end of November. Sure would be great if it really happened when we're there after Thanksgiving! Thanks!

Hi Charlene! Many guests are often lucky to be in a park during a soft opening of a new attraction. This simply means they will be testing how well lines move and the loading and unloading of vehicles and things like that. They might keep something open for an hour or two or just 15 minutes and then work on what they need to do to make it better. Once they have done enough testing they will announce the grand opening for all guests to enjoy the attraction.

The Rivers of Light: Nighttime Experience in the Animal Kingdom Park has been much anticipated by all. Rumors have been rampant about a hopeful opening of this event before Christmas but they are just rumors. No-one knows exactly when this will happen. I have recently heard of two more delays so it is hard to predict. There is plenty to do in the Animal Kingdom Park but we all know this will be a fun addition once it is launched permanently!
