After all the planning, Elisabeth, it looks like your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is here! For the first time in what probably seems like forever, you get to go from planning a vacation to packing your bags for the theme parks. I'm thrilled that planDisney has been along with you on this journey. We are always happy to see you!
Hoo! Hoo! Big summer blowout! With a trip to
Walt Disney World in July, Kristoff could be royally successful selling ice for a living.
You are welcome to bring soft-sided coolers into the theme parks if they meet the requirements. According to the
list of prohibited items, coolers that are larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park or water park. If yours is this size or smaller, you should be able to bring it without issue and with plenty of room for drinks to cool you down and snacks to fuel you up.
While the policies prohibit bringing loose or dry ice in your cooler, reusable cool packs can help keep your items chilled. I have also heard friends have put ice cubes in sealed plastic bags, and these worked well. When I stay in a resort with a refrigerator (I love
1-bedroom suites at Walt Disney World), I freeze water bottles the night before. They keep everything cool as they melt from solid ice to really cold water.
I hope your trip is like a warm hug, totally worth melting for. If you have any other questions, Elisabeth, please keep coming to see us at
planDisney!
Ice is My Life!
