Hiya, Ricardo!
A trip to Disneyland and a photo with classic Sorcerer Mickey sounds like a pretty magical time to me! There is just over a week until you are strolling down Main Street, grabbing some quintessential Disneyland popcorn, and heading over to
Mickey's Toontown. Are you starting to feel the pixie dust?
Our number one mouse still meets daily at his
house in Toontown. You will love getting to explore Mickey's abode as you make your way to his Movie Barn for the big moment - a meet and greet with the big cheese himself! In my experience, Mickey does have several outfits to choose from throughout the day, greeting Guests in his newish casual clothes at park opening, and depending on his mood, can switch from Sorcerer Mickey to Steamboat Mickey to even classic Mickey. Traditionally, there is no posted schedule of when he will appear in a particular outfit, it is genuinely a surprise for Guests when they enter the room. My best advice here would be to head to Toontown the morning of your visit and ask a Cast Member stationed at Mickey's House. I can't guarantee they will be able to reveal the schedule for the day, but it's worth an ask!
You will want to check out the Entertainment Schedule for your visit and earmark the showings for
Fantasmic! that evening, where Sorcerer Mickey is the star of the show! If you haven't seen this nighttime spectacular, you are in for a treat! A long-standing favorite with me and my little Mouseketeers, you will watch Mickey battle out some favorite villains using his imagination.
You could even consider booking a
Fantasmic! Dining Package, which would guarantee you a spot in a preferred viewing location...and also a delicious meal! There are several options to choose from, detailed below. Be sure to make the reservation on the Dining Package page of the website and not the individual restaurant page to guarantee access to Fantasmic!
- River Belle Terrace offers two options—a premium and a standard package. With the premium package, you would eat a 3-course, New Orleans-inspired meal and stay right in your seat to watch the first show of the evening from the outdoor patio. With the standard package, you could make a reservation for brunch or dinner, and would receive a voucher for either showing that evening and entrance into a preferred viewing area.
- If you are looking for something a bit more casual, I'd recommend Rancho del Zocalo. Here, you would make a reservation for lunch or dinner and dine on Mexican-Korean fusion cuisine. Similar to the standard package above, you would receive a voucher for either performance that evening. I've discovered that typically, lunch reservations receive a voucher for the first performance, while dinner reservations tend to receive a voucher for the second performance.
- Finally, Cafe Orleans offers a package as well, very similar to the one at Rancho del Zocalo. You can make a reservation for lunch or dinner and receive a voucher to either performance that evening.
Ricardo, I sure hope this was helpful! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney.
Magic awaits!
