I have a socal resident 3 day pass. Can I use the pass to upgrade to the believe magic key? If so can I do this now on the app? I purchased the ticket with my husband but I will be the only person upgrading to a magic key. Our next reservation is on 4/5.

Hey there, hi there, Raquel! Welcome to planDisney. We love helping Guests plan each step of their next magical visit.

As a Magic Key holder myself, I think a Magic Key is always a good idea! Tickets can currently be upgraded to a Magic Key while sales are still live as long as the ticket is valid and not fully used. If you have used one or more days of your ticket and still have days left on your ticket, you should be able to make this upgrade in the Disneyland app. Just find your ticket in the "My Tickets & Passes" section and under your ticket/barcode there should be an option to upgrade. If your ticket has not been activated or used yet, you will need to make this upgrade in person at a ticket booth.

Before you make this upgrade there are a few things to keep in mind. If you upgrade your ticket now, you will lose your next reservation. Reservations do not transfer. I would make sure that this date is available for the pass type you are wanting on the Magic Key Availability Calendar before you upgrade. I think you've picked a fantastic time to visit and hopefully high on your to-do list is experience the Food & Wine Festival. Be sure to keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog to release the Foodie Guide a few weeks before so you can start a list of your must trys!

Raquel, thanks for bringing your questiont to us! I hope your future is full of many magical visits as a Magic Key holder!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
