Socal resident 3day deal: Moved to socal and lived here for last year. Drivers license still has old address (new address is on the back). Will I get turned away at the door. Should I bring another proof of address?

    Hi Lily,

Welcome to planDisney! Living in Southern California affords us blue skies and sunshine, as well as access to the Happiest Place on Earth!

In order to purchase the 3-Day SoCal tickets through the Disneyland app or website, your Southern California address must be linked to your MyDisney account. Additionally, a Cast Member will need to verify your address on a valid government-issued photo ID prior to your entry. Accepted IDs include a driver’s license or a California ID. Unfortunately, things like a utility bill, phone bill, or even a school ID will not be accepted. I know this might be disappointing news, so I hope you still have time to get your new ID before the May 15 expiration date.

In case you are unable to use the tickets, I recommend reaching out to Guest Services, who handle tickets, to see if you can apply your purchase toward the Disneyland Anniversary Ticket. These are 3-day and 4-day tickets that allow you to visit from May 16 through August 14, 2025 (subject to park reservation availability). You can also upgrade these tickets to include a Park Hopper, so you can move between both parks (starting at 11 a.m.). In my opinion, this is an excellent alternative because you will be able to enjoy all the magic of the 70th anniversary!

The 70th anniversary celebration starts on May 16, 2025, and runs through the summer of 2026. There are tons of new things coming to the park that may catch your eye. Check out the article from the Disney Parks Blog to review every magical detail we know so far. You may find something in the lineup that really excites you. I’m looking forward to the new World of Color show, “World of Color Happiness!” It will feature music from Turning Red, A Goofy Movie, Tangled, and Encanto. My daughter loves all these movies, so I know it will be really magical for her! You can stay updated on what else is coming to Disneyland by following them on Instagram. If your SoCal tickets work out, I still hope you will be able to come back and enjoy this amazing celebration.

Lily, I’ll be wishing on a star, hoping that you can see Mickey real soon. If you have any other questions, need additional help, or would love more advice, please feel free to write back to me or my fellow panelists, and we will be happy to assist.

    Wishing you a magical trip!
