Will Soarin at DCA be closed in May?

Aloha, Ian, and welcome to planDisney! I totally get why Soarin’ is high on your list for the next Disneyland Resort visit. There's something exhilarating about gliding over beautiful scenes as inspiring music and delightful scents fill the air. It's an experience like no other!

While I certainly appreciate planning ahead, it's a little too early to know which attractions may be closed for refurbishment in May 2025. The Hours & Events calendar is generally updated on a rolling basis to show schedules up to six weeks out. Knowing that, I recommend checking the calendar as your arrival date approaches, around April. The calendar will provide details on park hours, showtimes, special events, and, of course, which attractions will be closed for refurbishment. Just remember that closures are always subject to change, so it’s a good idea to revisit the calendar ahead of your journey.

What we do know is that May 2025 will be a very exciting time at the Disneyland Resort. The 70th Anniversary Celebration will begin on May 16, bringing special entertainment, colorful decorations, new food and drink options, collectible merchandise, and more to both parks. This includes the much-anticipated return of the Paint the Night parade and an all-new World of Color experience.

And here's a quick bonus tip, Ian: If your travel dates are flexible, you might want to consider visiting a bit earlier. From February 28 to April 21, 2025, the classic Soarin' Over California attraction will return as part of the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. While Soarin’ Around the World is amazing, there’s something extra special about the nostalgic charm of the original. Just an option to keep in mind!

Ian, your epic adventure will be here before you know it. If you have any other questions in advance of your trip to the Disneyland Resort, please reach out. We're happy to help.
