Hello Yuu!
Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for sending your question our way. I'd be
charmed to discuss avoiding run-ins with slippery reptiles during your
Walt Disney World adventure.
At
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, snakes are not official residents of the resort's savannas, but many species are native to Florida, so there is always a chance one will slither by. Stay on paved pathways when walking outdoors; you are unlikely to notice them. Additionally, request to be placed in a room above the first floor. First-floor rooms at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge are rare, so hopefully, this request can be met.
In
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the only designated area where snakes might be found is at Conservation Station in Rafiki's Planet Watch. This remote outpost is accessible only by the Wildlife Express Train, so you won't stumble upon it by mistake. My daughter, who loves reptiles, was thrilled to visit recently. But if you're looking to dodge any snake sightings, just steer clear of this spot, and you won't be
rattled.
I hope this puts your mind at ease. If you stay on marked, paved walkways and avoid Rafiki's Planet Watch, you probably won't encounter a snake. My family and I have been visiting Walt Disney World for decades and have never seen a snake in a public area.
Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, Yuu. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything else we can do to make your vacation even more memorable. Have a magical day!
