I just snagged tickets to sweethearts night in February. I want to dress our daughter up as a princess and decorate her stroller. I see cardboard kits to put around the outside to make the the stroller look like a carriage. Is that allowed in the park?

    Welcome back, Lisette!

It’s always a delight to see your questions pop up here at planDisney! And oh my goodness, congratulations on getting tickets to Sweethearts’ Nite—it’s the perfect event to celebrate love! Sweethearts’ Nite holds a special place in my heart, too. My Prince Charming and I have attended several times, and this year, we got to bring along our toddler! It was such a special chapter in our Disney love story, and I know you’re going to make such sweet memories with your little princess too.

I absolutely love your idea of dressing your daughter as a princess and transforming her stroller into a royal carriage—it’s like something straight out of Cinderella! Cardboard stroller decorations are generally allowed at the Disneyland Resort as long as they don’t make the stroller too large to meet park guidelines. Make sure the decorations fit within the dimensions of 31" wide and 52" long. Just make sure your decorations are safe and secure, and don’t obstruct anyone’s view. I can already picture twinkling fairy lights and soft fabric garlands adding that extra dash of magic! Now, while I don’t see specific mentions of stroller decorations in the event’s costume guidelines, the security team will likely use their discretion when you enter the park, so just be sure to keep your decorations within the size rules. If needed, you may have to store them in a locker before heading in.

So, Lisette, I hope this has you feeling as ready as Cinderella at the ball! Just like Cindy’s Fairy Godmother, I’m always here if you have another question. Wishing you and your royal family a night full of twinkling lights, dreamy music, and happily-ever-after memories!

    Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!
