Hello Kay-Ann. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
I think you'll be happy to know that as long as you follow some guidelines, Guests are able to bring food and drinks to all of the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Water Parks and Disney Springs. This was always so helpful when my daughter was smaller. It seemed like snacks were the cure-all when she was tired, hot, antsy or for just about anything during the day. Not to mention, it saves a little bit of money that you can put toward souvenirs instead. According to the
Park Rules, here are a few things to keep in mind when you are packing your snack bag for the day:
- No outside alcoholic beverages
- No glass containers except for small baby food jars
- Suitcases, bags or coolers with or without wheels larger than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high are not permitted
- Loose or dry ice is not permitted. If you are wanting to keep food and beverages cold it is recommended to bring reusable gel ice packs
- Plastic straws are not permitted into the Water Parks or at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park
Also, keep in mind that there aren't any facilities where you can go to heat up food or beverages at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks so you'll want to pack accordingly. As long as you follow those simple guidelines, you are free to pack whatever you'd like to enjoy throughout the day. One thing I'd leave behind is bottled water. You are able to get free ice water at any Counter Service Dining Location, all you have to do is ask for it. This frees up some weight and room in your backpack!
I hope this helps plan your snack bag while on vacation! If you have any other questions, I'd love for you to come back and ask me.
