Hi, what snacks are included in the dining plan? Are Disney beautiful looking treats (like sundae ice-cream or mickey mouse shape cupcakes, cookies, etc.) included? Thanks a lot!

Hi there, Paola! Thanks for bringing your snack-tastic question to planDisney!

My family loves to eat and drink our way around the Vacation Kingdom, so we often take advantage of the Disney Dining Plan. Not only does it help us create a restaurant game plan, but it’s often a great value for my crew of foodies. I always make sure to check the Disney Parks Blog and planDisney Instagram ahead of my trip to see if there are any new snacks to check out.

There isn’t a master list of all the snacks included in the dining plan because there are so many options! Generally speaking, snacks are single-serving items found at quick-service restaurants, most outdoor carts, and some merchandise locations. Some examples of snack items include:

    - Ice cream novelty, popsicle, or fruit bar
    - 2 scoops of hand-scooped ice cream
    - Popcorn scoop (single-serving box)
    - Piece of whole fruit
    - Single-serve bag of snacks
    - 20-ounce bottle of Coca-Cola products, including Dasani water
    - 20-ounce fountain soft drink
    - Single-serve coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea, milk or juice

When you’re in the parks, you can tell what qualifies as a snack by looking for the purple and white Disney Dining Plan symbol on the menu. Also, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask a Cast Member. A great way to research snack options ahead of time is to look on the My Disney Experience app. Go to the map, select the dining icon at the top, and then find a mobile order option. Select “Begin Order” to view the menu, and you’ll see that some items say “Qualifies as a Snack” in their description, which means they can be purchased with a dining plan snack credit.

Menus and availability of certain items are subject to change, but at the time I’m writing, there are many Mickey-shaped snack options available at the Main Street Confectionary at the Magic Kingdom (one of my favorite spots for a sweet treat). You could always go with a Mickey-shaped cookie, but the lemon-flavored Mickey Cupcake with freeze-dried Skittles or the Mickey Valentine’s Day Cereal Treat covered in M&M’s look particularly delicious.

Paola, I hope this helps! You’ll be snacking your way through Walt Disney World before you know it! You can always send any other vacation planning questions to your friends at planDisney.

    Bon appetit!
